@kezo In the past when I had to deal with DVLA medical Motability were indeed very helpful in actually connecting myself with the medical department and MB themselves in a three way telephone call however on this occasion all I get from MB is “sorry we can’t help with DVLA problems”. Gave me the impression they can’t get through to DVLA either. I was told years ago that Motability have a person in DVLA for just for dealing with MB customers so maybe yet another cost cutting exercise or just another one of those fables to make the people feel good. With what @Tango is saying and my experiences with DVLA, or not as it were, makes me think they want us disabled drivers off the roads, along with the over seventies because were the ones causing all the deaths on the road where statistic say differently.
I have found Motability have degraded since Covid, customer service staff don’t have the same level of care, as if they lack interest and couldn’t be bothered half the time and want justr want an easy life.
I don’t believe the government departments inc DVLA want older people on the roads. The reason, I think that is there is so much pressure negative press and opinions from so call (brainwashed) think tanks surrounding elderly drivers, its much easier to just go with flow than have the balls push back agains’t it. The same can be said with Motability, you have only got to look at what happened from the pounding of the press, Rachael from accounts just bowed over and not to forget what the Daily Mail achieved in 2010.
@Oscarmax , Hasn’t Liverpool closed and all medical enquiries now responibility of Swansea (DVLA Medical Enquiries)?
