If there is any difficulty on that score (giving the same discount to WPMS recipients) point out to them the reason for the differential AP pricing and the fact that overall all Motability customers pay exactly the same for same vehicles on the scheme over the 3 year lease, regardless of benefit/alllowance. Motability sales people are often very ignorant of this point.
Therefore if they won’t give equivalent discount, simply point out they are overcharging veterans versus other Motability customers by not giving the same discount.
If still no joy, point out that it doesn’t look very good in the media and on social media making WPMS veterans pay more than all others and chuck in the Armed Forces Covenent for good measure.
If still no joy, a strongly worded letter to the dealer group CEO usually works!
