I’d say electric is the wild card!

The EV3 will get >60 miles more than the Mini and is also a bit smaller which will help with range. The EV3 more in the way of cold weather creature comforts and also come’s with whats called Vehicle to Load (V2L) meaning if your were to get yourself out more especially in the summer (which you should), you can boil a kettle to make a cuppa or warm a meal in a microwave!

The EV4 will have basically what the EV3 has and will have most range due to it being a car and more streamline, bur ? whether you can get in and out!

My own persona view is Kia are more advanced with EV’s than Mini.

On the assumption, you would keep it topped up at home, without any hiccups from neighbours etc, it doable. If you are going to charge at Dobbies, it will work out considerably more expensive than running a hybrid this time round and would discount having an EV this time round. There are plans for changes by the government for those without offstreet parking, but this won’t come quick enough for your upcomming lease change.

Charging at home on a 2 rate tariff will increase your day rate and may end costing you more the your current 26p kWh in the long run. 26p is still cheap enough!

Being brutely honest and not wanting to offend, but if you not going to get yourself out (theres some lovely areas within reach of your abode), even community clubs, then it will be by far cheaper to bus or taxi those 35 miles a week than have a car costing the best part of essentially £90 per week, your not going to get value from.
