That’s what stood out on the IM5&6, one button turned the lot off. Collision warning is a nightmare where there are sharp corners, the number of times I’m approaching a parked car just beyond a sharp right corner and the dumbass car is convinced I’m going to kill it. For some reason the car has also decided I’m too close when stopped in traffic, I can see the road behind the wheels and I’m still getting a proximity warning that it’s too close. Listening to you guys talk about the Tuscon, I’m quite convinced I’m done with Hyundai, there’s far too much intervention and it serves no purpose other than to raise my blood pressure.

Custom settings and one button to turn off is applauseable and I understand all newer MG ev’s have it (propiliot custom?)

I wouldn’t have a another Hyundai (Kia) and often kick myself not waiting and going for the HS PHEV – the range is basically double, interior quality is better soft touch is than in Hyundai, Kia’s and doesn’t penny pinch on soft touch in the rear, which even the Tiguan does! The seats are comfier. A neighbour friend at bottom of cul de sac has recently had the HS PHEV, driving is night and day. Next door but one, have recently had what is their 3rd ZS, but this time gone for hybrid+ in that nice red, which I think is one of the best reds on the market. I think MG have nailed it with the latest generation compared to the old ZS/HS, the hybrid/s have one of the markets biggest batteries in HEV’s. Would I buy one, hell yes , especially see the latest X3 interior quality that has as much hard plastic and no felt lining in door space etc, is really no better than mainstream brands and that applies to the new GLB too!

Going back to the Tucson and new cars in general, I find all the safety aids an hazard and strongly believe manufacturers should be forced to implement a one touch off buttom for what you don’t want on especially in the UK. I believe Renault Perso button is very similar to the one touch off MG have implemented on their new electric cars. I don’t know of any other manufacturer that does this!

Tip, I have my emergency breaking set to warn only, cus I was sick at getting whiplash everytime it saw a shadow. Warning volume is set to the lowest setting and I do try remember to turn off speed limit and LKA but I often forget and entered meltown before Xmas, which was not helped with how my daughter sits and her bum cheek encroaching on the next seat, setting off the blasted seatbelt warning. I haven’t driven it since.

    As,
