I have no agenda, and sit on the lawn with my Pepsi Max and some crisps (not a popcorn fan). I’m choosing an EV, purely for reducing travel costs. Yes, Motability pay for the charger (bonus), and I have a drive way that I can charge in. I’m on the fence about the climate science, as CO² will always be a by product to produce all the parts needed for the ‘green agenda’. So I’m not going to be hypocritical about it. China has it down to an art form, and can mine and produce it much cheaper than anyone else. So all the countries have passed on their CO² cost to them. So, I’m really not bothered by it all. I’ll get whatever ever fits my needs and reduces my overall outgoings. Yes I have solar and a battery, as I don’t see the UK’s energy costs going down anytime soon. I’m all in it for the overall cost savings. Anything else, I’m really not that bothered.
I tend to not read all the hype being spouted I am not a mushroom, it is hard to believe fact from fiction, they only tell what they want us to believe. Like you I am only interested in the bottom line how much, I am a big fan of EV vehicles, however, is diesels vehicles were cheaper to run like the majority of us I would switch back in a heartbeat.
I too have solar panels and battery purely because my electric bill is now zero.

Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
