In my view, you have met the terms outlined by Motability, in that its power source would be from a plug in adapter, similar to that of a USB and 12V aux plug adapter and not permanently hard wired to the vehicle.
Thanks for that. I agree with everything you’ve said. An OBD connection will be a ‘plug’ in method as they’ve stated.
