I’m a little less sceptical about future changes.

The mileage reduction will come as they’ve already said it will (probably down to something like 12k pa with an extra cost option for those who need more)

Whilst they might like to see themselves differently, I think that Volvo is still seen in the trade as ‘aspiring to be a premium brand’ rather than quite there yet. Also, the curtain twitchers won’t get as agitated by their neighbours Volvo as they might their Mercedes or BMW. Same with the media and social media, judging by all the comments. On that basis, I don’t think that it was a mistake leaving Volvo on the scheme so, hopefully, they will remain.

I’ve never yearned for an Alpha Romeo, but I think they are seen as enthusiasts cars (Clarksons mad about them) so if they are a bit of fun that’s no longer allowed for disabled people 😡

I don’t see trackers becoming standard. There’s no point in them incurring the cost if the only drivers live with the disabled person as they’d have no way of knowing who was driving. If the sole driver lives away from the Motability customer then there’s a clearer case for them.

Servicing with Motability is bare bones already, so nothing to be saved there.

I hope that there won’t be any tightening of early terminations, as I might want to do one when I find a car that I like privately, but there will be ways around that if you have the right reasons for terminating,
