Sometimes we only consider cost & ignore value, if you’re lucky enough that you can afford it, which I can.
The value to me of EV ownership.
1. Tailpipe = carbon neutral
2. Regenerative breaking = safer driving
3. no longer filling up at non accessible filling stations.
4. Reliability.
5. New tech that allows things like pre heating (a godsend in winter for wheelchair users who can’t scrape windows).
6. smoother driving, instant torque, smooth acceleration. Don’t miss clunky diesels and overtaxed automatic gearboxes.
On top of this are all the benefits that offer peace of mind thru Motability. Also I’m happy to pay my way to support UK infrastructure, and happy to contribute more for those who can’t. I hope when retired & money is tighter i can still afford to contribute.
