I’m puzzled as to why the grants team would allow an extension when the people I spoke to wouldnt ?
Motability Operations (who provide the cars) are a separate entity from Motability the charity who provide grants towards the AP of a new car.
I spoke to the grants team a few weeks ago and if your current vehicle is fine for you then their preferred option is to extend the lease rather than give you money towards the payment of another vehicle. They said it’s absolutely not a problem to extend the lease if you want to and they will push it through with Motability Operations.
