It’s similar with e-bikes, they are restricted to 15.5mph and pedal assist. I have one and it’s just not enough, around 20mph would be perfect. If you ever see an e-bike on the road and the rider isn’t pedalling, you can be certain it’s illegal, unless it has a registration plate and insurance.
