Just as expected from @Glos Guy 😆 I’m with Scotty. We tried the X1 along with 4 other cars (on extended test drives) before choosing the XC40 which was head and shoulders above the others. We would have placed the X1 in fourth place actually, due to its road noise and firm ride. It just didn’t feel ” premium”. I take on board what Glos Guy says about the XC40 now being dated, but the suspension soaks up all kinds of bumps and ridges in an easy manor, and is in no way inferior to drive. Road and engine noise are minimal. Just to be clear, I’m not biased, we now have a BMW i4 which we love!

    Yes grandad😂

As for me, I’m still a twinkle compared to many on here, but siffer suspension on the M Sport means better handling, this little twinkle likes😂

Some other useless stuff, China’s Geely acquisition of Volvo was driven by a stragegic vision to put Volvo into the premium sector, which it did with the launch of the redesigned XC90 in 2015. BMW on the other hand has been premium for, as long as I can remember and widely known as a drivers car.

I also recall @ajn very recently, saying the seats the  seats in the new MG HS were ooh so confy compared to the previous XC40, but what do I know, I drive a Tuscon😂
