    Thing is irreverent or not it’s opinions of others, just opinions.. To class someone’s opinion as irrelevant, well don’t that do the same to your opinion kd in the eyes of another also. Pay it if you want to be nice, however my opinion would stand.. I wouldn’t hand over a car with minimum fuel, and wouldn’t expect to receive one.. One sometimes must get over one’s self..

    Then I will rephrase my answer: from the legality perspective,  which I understand is in the core of this thread’s original question,  the majority of the answers are opinions,  which are not related to the question if there is a contractual obligation the customer pays £25.

    Consumer Rights Act 2015 as well as Consumer Protection Regulations from Unfair Trading 2008 clearly call out the business cannot impose hidden fees.

     

    It is not a “peanuts” question,  but a serious breach of contract by the business.
