I’ve seen quite a few posts etc from others who have had a OK experience with it. Seems to be if the update fails they need Skoda IT to unlock the car ECU so they can start from scratch and the lead time for that is 24 hours hence the we need it for 2 days.

I booked the car in end Sept 1st available date was 13th October. A week later I emailed them and double checked about the time needed etc and I was assured they could do it while I wait.

Phone call today saying we need the car for TWO DAYS to do the update and now looking at 27th inc courtesy car.

Not gonna bother as mentioned there have been issues I get the impression the bulk of which were solved in September and that’s lead to the 2 day time (who’s doing the updates Microsoft? )

Comes back to my old statement about IT systems in cars being a poorly thought out, poorly implemented, zero security mess. The biggest thing crippling modern cars the hodge podge nature of the modules and talking over the pathetic Canbus.

I’m gonna tell them not to bother now after I specifically asked about the time they needed the car for and no doubt their loaner are gonna be cheap ICE stuff.

I’ll try again next year I think I’m annoyed now
