Funny how 6 year old cars… (that’s 2019 π±) with 80k miles are likely to be unsafe, knackered & needing big repairs from a garage every year ππ
Personally I’d buy the Β£1,500 car and put the Β£200pm into an ISA. That way don’t have to get too precious about hitting a kerb or getting a supermarket ding while still getting to grips with driving and once more experienced should have a few quid saved up for a deposit on something newer… but it’s your kids choice and so far I’d say they’re the financial brains of the house by not wanting to get weighed down by unnecessary debt π€·ββοΈ
Anyway, on the subject of the Ora… we looked at one when my wife was after an EV and didn’t find any bad reports π€ if you get one it will be fine to do exactly the job it was designed for, provide low cost comfortable transportation π
