Oscarmax, Our other car is an Ioniq 5 – an entirely different beast to the CX60. Really is a joy to drive, economical, fast and engaging. However, absolutely brilliant locally and close to unbeatable. Take it on holiday though – totally different due to the abysmal EV charging system this country has. NEVER had a public charger give more than 100W charging so using a fraction of the charging rate. 15 minute charges become an hour, probably because Costa have put a spanner in the charger to eke two mochachino’s out if you! That’s if you find a working charger! Scotland – forget it. Love the car, detest the plonkers who charge 20x the October rate and then throttle it back!!
As were also tow a 1500kg caravan a fully EV is a no no especially as you point the the extorinate prices of public chargers, not sure about reliability or availability as I avoid them.
We have solar panels and battery plus a Podpoint 7kWh EV charger, we charge up both the battery and PHEV off peak, so for us a PHEV makes sense.
If you dislike the CX60 so much I would just kick it back to Mobility and take the £250 hit, otherwise you are wasting £77.05 per week over the next 12 months.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
