Morning @Glos Guy, we both drove the x1, must say no pressure on getting back either, which was nice, professional staff, with a great sense of humour.. The x1 really is a nice car, could I drive it for years, doubt it, suited the Wife perfect, strangely though the x2 did seem to have more space while sat inside… out of the two I’d go x2, with added rear privacy glass…

The front compartment of the X2 is identical to the X1, no bigger. The rear compartment and boot are both smaller in the X2. I’m 6ft 2 and could barely get into the back of the X2. I had to really crick my neck to get in. There’s no doubt that the X2 is the better looking car (I like the rear styling of the current BMW Coupes and SUV Coupes) but in exchange for better looks you get a car that is less practical than the ‘full’ SUV equivalent. I guess if there’s never more than two of you in the car and you don’t have to worry about a wheelchair or other large aids, then the X2 won’t cause any issues. I’d definitely check one out thoroughly though rather than let the styling alone convince you that it would be suitable 😉
