It varies by dealership. Years ago it was commonplace that pretty much all dealers offered all customers (Motability, other lease or private) the option of a courtesy car or a collect and return service (subject to availability – you usually had to book well in advance to secure one).
Nowadays, I’ve noticed that some dealerships have reduced the number of courtesy cars (or don’t provide them at all) and others have ceased collect and return.
Our local Hyundai dealership has stopped the latter, but makes an exception for Motability customers, so luckily we were able to have a collect and return on a day when we didn’t need the car.
Our local Ford dealership no longer has any courtesy cars!
