I have 2 issues with this:

Firstly, I work rather hard at denying permissions for my personal data to be collected and shared, I will not allow an app to monitor my journeys, both as a driver and passenger, and hold that data tagged to my personal info for 7 years.  I don’t care about claims to stay within Private data laws, I have minimal trust that this wont get sold off at some point.

Secondly, I don’t believe anyone has the right to monitor all my journeys just to ensure the risk they are insuring is minimised.  If I’m a passenger in an accident, especially given how some public transport drivers drive these days, I shouldn’t have to be concerned if some nosy app will wonder if it’s my fault or, worse, just assume it was.

It would be bad enough if this was a government scheme but it’s a private company or, more likely, 3 involved and I trust none of them with any data I’m forced to share and that’s just basics like name/address, having to be forced to give this level of information about myself is tantamount to submitting to having Big Brother watching my every move.

I'm Autistic, if I say something you find offensive, please let me know, I can guarantee it was unintentional.
I'll try to give my honest opinion but am always open to learning.
