All drivers even those over 30 also need a smart phone and to download the app and connect it to the car. Then Mb via a 3rd party will monitor and track all via there own personal devices registered.

Is this a case of monitoring under 30’s and the cars usage and all driver due to maybe higher volumes of misuse of those cars by those driven by under 30’s. As it seems like they’ll be tracking everyone named as a driver 24/7 via the app on your smart phone. what if the claimant doesn’t drive.

So Imo they could potentially flag any misuse or so they think. Even when they put trackers in some cars they are not always active, for obvious privacy reasons and your right to privacy. But with this tracking you via your own private device, even when not in the vehicle, surely is against your human rights.

I certainly see issues with this. where actual carers refuse to the terms and won’t drive the scheme car. Thus making the actual non driving claimants, life harder on the scheme. As I know I wouldn’t agree to those terms. I know if they extend this to all cars. that will be it for me.. It’s the principle. I’m the only driver anyway.

The thing is it won’t stop jack. As Say one was to misuse the car, you could just take the claimants phone with you and they could just get another phone. Or leave there phone at home and use a different phone. How will MB know. As for the bonus you can get for a good score. Why are MB not rewarding those who never make a claim and never had an accident. We could all do with £160 towards the next ap.

With adas on all new cars and false positives, like sudden emergency braking by the car. Will it know the difference or when using adaptive cruise control and car in front brakes hard and so does yours as it mimics the car in front will you gain a demerit or not. when on motorway and car in front pulls over and your car floors it back to the set speed of 70mph will you also be flagged. Will it know if you run a red light or drive when someone is crossing a zebra.
