Is this link any use, the sales lady is going to show me how to turn off the systems, when we pick up the 6, on the test drive, there seemed to be very few bongs, and it was inkeeping with the speed limit, which incidently, the bloke on the speed awareness course said you should turn it on. https://www.reddit.com/answers/d377ee2c-7021-43c9-86d0-ce8a6dee7571/?q=Disabling%20speed%20limit%20alert%20for%20Hyundai%20cars&source=PDP

Thanks, but that’s how to turn it off, which I know. Annoyingly, you have to do it every single time that you start the car which on days when you’re jumping in and out of the car becomes a pain in the a@se. What I’m looking for is how to change the parameters, so that it only bings when you are a bit more than 1mph over the speed limit (which is the Hyundai default – and it bings four times 😡).

I have absolutely no doubt that the chap on the speed awareness course would encourage everyone to keep it on! If I could adjust it so that it only warned me if I reached 10% above then I’d happily leave it on. I could even live with it being on with just a 1mph trigger if it was just one bing (especially in 30mph zones where I diligently stick to the speed limit due to kids and pedestrians), but four bings every time you hit 41mph in a 40, 51mph in a 50, 61mph in a 60 and 71mph in a 70 becomes extremely irksome, hence why I turn it off!
