I am looking at similar cars, I can reorder in mid December for next March to change, so plenty of time yet.

Currently have a Nissan Qashqai N-Connector e-Power, which I have been very pleased with, excellent mpg, comfort, loads of useful functionality, 360 deg camera, high beam assist etc.

This is my fourth Qashqai on the scheme so even though it’s great, I think it’s time for something different.

Looking at a mild hybrid, as my current property is on a looped electrical supply so for a BEV car I would need to have the driveway dug up, and a new electric supply to property.
I will probably cover 15k miles when the 3 years lease is up, so I may extend the lease as an option.

I need a boot size with a minimum 450 litres due to having to transport an electric wheelchair.

This week I looked at the BMW X1, also to ask what is the specification of the M Sport, the information I was given is that you get very little being polite, but you can add extras at a cost like sun protective glass ( dark rear windows) £330, technology pack £1680, even then you don’t get blind spot monitoring, which I feel is a good safety feature.

I liked the car, inside features looked good but severely lacking functionality of a Qashqai Epower.

I have looked at the XC40 in the past, and my opinion is it’s a bit dated interior and poor mpg.

Other cars I am considering for my next car are the Cupra V2 mild hybrid Formentor or Terramar.

Other consideration is to buy a discounted BMW X1 with the extra packs included, there are a number on Autotrader.

With the 4k advanced payment and the car missing a significant amount of functionality compared to a mid range Qashqai, I would find it difficult to justify the AP.
