To add, if you walked into say a Hyundai dealership with 10 cars on disply of which 4 of them are electric, how can the sales guy say I can’t let you order that shiny new ICE car, after all a sale is a sale and money in the sales guy’s pocket at the end of the day and he’s unlikely to want to risk a non sale because you have gone elsewhere. It might be different for scheme users, if they are gullable enough to be persuaded into something that isn’t suitable or they can’t charge at home.
