35s do crop up as demonstrators, just not as often.
The local dealer here had one, albeit in M Sport trim and I wanted a Sport. However, the suspension is the same , the wheels the same size, and the seats the same near as dammit.
If you’re used to the FB Groups then you’ll also know the the performance is virtually the same too. The lighter weight of the 35 almost compensates for the extra power the 40 has.
The big difference is range: My 35 will do maybe 260 miles in this weather, I’ve seen 40 owners proudly photographing their dashboards showing 100 miles more.
With regards to the recent increase in claimed range, the battery now has about an extra 2.5 kWh of usable capacity, so it’s not a huge jump.
But I don’t think the i4 will have enough rear room or indeed access for your requirements.
