Hi @Mack2024,The next paragraph may maybe of help about your question why the Advance Payments/ deposits are so high for some makes and models on the Motability Scheme, and this is the answer I found online.

The advance payment amounts for Motability Scheme vehicles are set through negotiations between car manufacturers and Motability Operations, the organization responsible for the scheme. These negotiations consider various factors, including the vehicle’s price, estimated servicing and maintenance costs, and its projected resale value at the end of the lease. The advance payment is the upfront, one-time payment required for some vehicles to cover the difference between the cost of the car and the customer’s weekly mobility allowance.

You can make up your own mind who’s responsible for the high advance payments, is it the car manufacturer? the Motability Scheme? Or both? I’m edging towards the car manufacturer being at fault not Motability!,especially the more prestigious manufacturers like BMW, Audi, Mercedes, etc, etc. I’ve noticed they regularly have high advance payments for their cars compared to other car manufacturers on the Scheme!
