The Skoda App is pants, they keep blocking API access to other people like Octopus etc.

Some Skoda’s can still use the Ohme App as before, plug in, set charge to  80% or whatever level you want and it will automatically charge during whatever cheap times are available.

Others, like mine now, have to wait until 11:30pm as there is no option to set a start charging time on the Ohme App, as soon as you confirm connection it tries to charge.  We now have to set a percentage to add by a given time, as long as it’s no later than 9 to 11am it will (should?) charge at the lower rate.

I’ve tried using the cars own system using the Ohme charger as a dumb unit, it failed to charge at all twice in the first couple of weeks, usually the Skoda servers going down or just poor software.

Pre-conditioning can also be a pain in the bum, multiple times the App won’t connect to the car in case the 12v battery gets depleted, if I remember correctly it only allows 3 connections a day, even when it’s never been connected for days it still refuses to connect.  I then have to go out and drive the car a few feet forwards/backwards so the App thinks the car is OK to connect with.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
