Yes I think that’s what we will have to do, sadly. It’s lease runs out next year, so may keep it on and buy a very cheap van in the meantime for the business. I do need a vehicle for the dogs in an emergency situation (we home board) and also need to show proof of insurance for the business for my licence. Hindsight is wonderful – wish we had used her Pip to buy privately. Oh well, you live and learn. Thanks so much for your advice
I’m not sure with vans but, certainly cars, estates etc, you can claim the disabled VED (free) on a older vehicle, with higher VED and tax the motability car, which would have alot cheaper VED, providing you haven’t got a £40k+ car on Motabilty.
