Of course you can use the car for personal leisure use IF it benefits the disabled PIP recipient too. Is it really that difficult to organise such things that way? It really isn’t there are an almost infinite number of ways to ensure this isn’t an issue by either including the disabled person or doing their shopping at the same time or loads just use your imagination and they’re all perfectly legitimate providing they’re not just made up excuses.
Not looking to be mean but unless you can name a direct quote from a PR person from motability or someone with a singular job title like CEO then like everything Motability says different stuff comes from nearly every person. Also who says what you’re doing at whatever time is leisure etc? Unless you say something like I was on my way to go ice skating on my own….
Also bringing this up in this context seems a little rude, suggesting that the OP would fall foul or be looking to break the rules? It could just be me but when I see stuff like this pop up from nowhere it always just seems like its being thrown at people to put a stop to it. I’m sure its just me being prickly about things but it’s just how I read it each time.
Anyway i’ll add no more as it’s not relevant to the topic. As for dates changing, the date you’re given is only ever an estimate so it will change until you’re given a firm delivery date that is.
