    I once ordered a car at the end of a quarter. A week later the new quarter introduced another vehicle (from the same brand) and I asked if I could cancel and reorder the new vehicle at the same dealership.

    The dealership said “no”.

    At that time, I thought this was the rule, so didn’t think I could do anything about it. I now understand that when buying a car (or other goods) in person, the seller cannot force you to complete the purchase, but can charge you for any costs they have incurred. Without having to go through the stress of court proceedings, is there a limit that Motability would step in and tell the dealership that their cancellation cost is too much?
