I have now looked through all of the Q2 list. On the one hand I am pleased that Motability haven’t succumbed to the court of public opinion and removed some of the higher end cars. However, I can honestly say that if we were due to order this quarter there isn’t a single car that would get me even remotely excited.
I’m not yet convinced that I’d want an EV given their range limitations and not wanting to have to charge away from home on longer journeys. We have a PHEV at present, but in all honesty I’m not convinced that I’d get another. Charging after every use is a faff that I’ve never had before and economy when the battery is depleted is poor. Ideally I’d revert to a petrol car, but the choice is dire and those that do appear are either too small, don’t remotely appeal or are lower spec models that I wouldn’t choose as a private buyer. Thankfully we don’t have to change for another 2 years (unless I bail out sooner) but I can’t see things changing for the better 😔
