Am I correct in believing that if I get an extension I can order a new car at any point and not be penalised if I collect it at any point during my extension period (and still get GCB)? Also, if I extend, but purchase a car during this extension (i.e. leave the scheme), would I be penalised, or forfeit GCB for ending the lease extension early?
If you get an extension, you’re free to terminate the lease at any point for any reason. So, if you get a new car on the scheme you can hand this one back when you collect the new one. If you buy your own car, you need to contact Motability to arrange termination and returning this one.
