I can see a lot of people losing the Daily Living component of PIP, having to get 4 points in every category will be difficult. The knock on effect will be hundreds of thousands of carers losing Carers Allowance. This is going to hurt. So if I’ve got this correct, currently you need 8 points for standard rate and 12 for enhanced rate. You will now need 40 points, ouch!
I thought it was 4 points in at least one category, not 4 points in each.
Edit: As of November 2026, you will need at least four points in one category to qualify for the daily living component.
