I live in a small building with 10ish flats and most of my street is made up of houses with driveway. I asked neighbours in next door app whether I can use their charger for off peak charging (+fee on top if that would help). 3 of them were kind enough to allow me use their charger at cost price. My recommendation is worth trying it unless you have other concerns about it.
