Just a thought as my Large mobility scooter which has a purpose built steel store which was paid for by my Local council it opens by electric hydraulic as it is pretty hefty but one thing after having it for a few years my year old Scooter horn packed up and it turns out a mouse got in to the wiring. I was insured by Fish insurance and they tell me it would not be covered. So I am checking out the internet for vermin damage on Cars and someone had a Mini and mice chewed into the wiring loom which was a £5000 cost and then I heard that foxes seem to like chewing on the rubber brake pipes, this made me a wee bit worried and wonder whether we are covered if this happens to our Motability cars as again it could happen and be expensive and no fault of out own. I have not asked Direct Line or Motability but we may not be covered which could lead to unusable car or a breakdown anyone thought of this.
As a farmer who believes prevention is better than a cure, if you think you may be troubled by such a verminous problem, then in the case of mice/rats set traps or poison bait.
In the case of foxes, a shotgun or rifle invariably does the trick!
