    @kezo I’ve accidentally allowed the charging end of the cable to impact the floor once or twice and I wondered if Motability would cover the cost of a replacement if it broke? I’d ask them first in that scenario, but if the answer was no, do you think that buying a non-branded one on eBay is safe? I’m mindful of all the dodgy phone chargers that are out there!

    Keep away from the 13A only ones, as they can make the plug/socket run hot with prolonged use. There’s some that have adjustable settings upto 13A, which are OK but, you’ll find you can pick up used/new car manufacturer branded one fron £50 and a decent non branded 23kWh one from about the same.

    If the Type 2 plug breaks, it’s cheaper to just replace the plug.
