Hi glos iv had a look on the motability site and it states ‘If you have adaptations fitted to your vehicle, you do not have to remove them, but if you want to, please arrange this with your adaptations installer.You’re responsible for the costs involved and you’ll need to pay these to the adaptations installer.’ So im amusing we can keep it iv taken the adaptation off as its only 2 bolts on steering wheel and returning car tomorrow
Thanks. I assumed that would be the case, but it’s good to know. At some stage I will enquire about how much it would be to install the hoist in a private car. It would still be VAT exempt but obviously not subsidised by Motability. It might work out cheaper to leave the electrics in the current car and pay for new ones in a private car, as the mechanical parts are detachable so can easily be switched between cars. Food for thought if we leave the scheme.
