I received a £100 parking fine for apparently parking in a disabled parking bay without displaying my blue badge from UKPC at the Kingdom Shopping Centre in Glenrothes Fife. I always put it on the dash but if not it’s always on my central console and in FULL view of the driver and passenger car windows. I can only assume some supercilious attendant wrote it out as it wasn’t on the actual dash/windscreen. I was going to appeal via UKPC’s own webpage but they charge £5 for the privilege! So I decided to appeal to the shopping centre factors/owners, JLL, and I was pleasantly surprised that within an hour I had a reply stating that they would contact UKPC directly and cancel the fine but to please remember to display the blue badge in full view from hereon in.
