They did say it was safe after I explained the damage to them,obviously if there was other damage when it went back I assume I wouldn’t get it.
Although safe you do not have to drive with a dent in the door but you seem happy to do so
As above have you asked if you will still get your gcb

I personally would want clarification
If they said no you will not get it
You can if you wish to do so insist on the repair and possibly be charged £100 excess ( returnable if agreed no fault) and then that way your £250 gcb should be safe
Best thing either way is to get reassurance in writing from motorbility
I can only advise and explain how I would do things
Maybe you could update us following the handback
That way we can all be a little clearer if/when we are ever in the same spot
