    Hi all. My wife collected her current car in May 2024 and from that point there has been an issue with the proximity sensors going off at random points and thinking there’s obstructions when there isn’t or going off when something that was there has moved on. My wife is now to scared to drive the car or even be a passenger as the car has applied emergency braking out of the blue at some dangerous times.
    We contacted the garage where we got the car and they acknowledged that it is a known fault with the car. When my wife spoke to Motability they confirmed that we could be able to return the car given the circumstance but there would be a £250 fee for cancellation. Given that this is not our fault is there something we can do? It seems unfair that we have to pay this to me.

    Any help would be appreciated!
