For those who already own this car, what mpg are you guys getting on the xc40 black edition? I’m hoping it will be better than my bmw x1 which gives me 26mpg (city driving) which is pretty much start & stop. it’s crazy to think with today’s high level technology we get such low mpg.
Did you ever get BMW to check if your X1 had a fault? I appreciate that I do very little stop-start city driving, but I averaged over 40 mpg out of my 4WD 2.0i petrol X1 auto over 3 years. Quite a difference! I presume you don’t have the facility to charge off road, as with your sort of driving an EV would probably be your best bet? Volvo petrol cars aren’t known for being particularly fuel efficient so you might be going out of the frying pan into the fryer! Very few ICE cars are going to deliver great mpg in heavy stop-start traffic.
