I had my original battery (Jan 24) replaced about 5 weeks ago, had various “new” problems since.
Android keeps crashing my phone connection, disconnects every few minutes. tried removing and re-installing the phone but still doing it. Temp down to -2c last night and various systems started failing, SOS offline, front assist, lane assist, blind spot monitoring etc.
It’s not a bad car but the software/hardware systems are very poor quality and the App can be particularly useless. Pre-heated car this morning, took 5 attempts with the App to get contact, set drivers seat and steering wheel and windows (I have the Advanced pack – waste of £2035!), it heated the passenger side seat!, no steering wheel or windows.
Had a standard 80 as a loan car, seats were uncomfortable after more than 10mins driving, the Sportline Plus seats are a bit better but the seat base is a bit on the narrow side and digs into my pelvis/hip.
I’m just starting my second year in it but already looking round for what will be next, the Elroq may be suitable but another Skoda/VW based EV would certainly not be at the top of the list.
Following mt last car accident I’m in the fortunate position where switching mid-lease wouldn’t be a problem financially but finding something else that I can get into physically and with a decent range, especially in this weather isn’t an easy job.
I have to take my daughter to a hospital appt. on Tuesday, about a 2 hour 80-90mile round trip, charged to 100% Wedensday night and got 230 range, driven 21 miles over the last 2 days and it now only shows 169 🙁 So I’ll have to charge again before Tuesday, not easy in the cold, sticking an 8m cable in the kerbocharge gully at pavement level as nothing about me moves or bends properly and eveything hurts more!.
Update, just charged it today as it’s going to be p-ing down Sun and Mon, 21.4kw so £1.50 for only 21 miles usage! that’s only 1 mile per kWh 🙁
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
