Just a bit of info on the heat pump. The efficiency of the unit is called the COP which stands for coefficient of performance. They say that a COP of 4 and over is achievable on the most efficient units, to date I am achieving a COP of 2.5. This means for every KWh of energy I put in the unit it produces 2.5kwh.
There is also a value called the SCOP which is the Seasonal Coefficient of performance and refers to the efficiency over a year. I will be tweaking the pump controls over the next few weeks to see if I can improve the efficiency but the SCOP will be the number I will be most interested in.
The only person who got all his work done by Friday was Robinson Crusoe.
