Guys, Mitch had stated a timeline of 18 months, which is quite handy, it did give food for thought.
In 18 months, I believe we will see a great many private fuel stations give up the ghost. They already have slim margins and diminishing clientele. Many rely on sales of groceries and coffee to keep themselves afloat. They can see their business has a finite life and many, like other redundant businesses will decide to get out while they can. Before the stampede to sell or FOMO.
I can see a great expansion of Lidl and Aldi stores on these vacant sites.
Nothing is guaranteed, but one thing is certain, the days of burning Hydrocarbons for vehicle locomotion are ending.
