In the 60s and seventies my Dad only did home fireworks on 5th Nov and that was it till the next year and until we got older but now it is on all different days and weekends for any occasions or to make excuse to use them. I am not saying ban them for home use as I had many memories and get very excited by them and also my dad was strict he never let us light them only going by the firework code as it was but like anything lots are making it bad for the sensible people. As it is the UK I do think if they are still Available to buy there should be a Law to only use on 5th Nov unless there is bad weather and if that happens the next best day and that’s it but I do think it would be hard to enforce unless the fine if caught is serious high that may deter anyone.
