After waiting 6 months for a Motability vehicle after I was told the approximate waiting time was 12 weeks for the vehicle to arrive. I am considering giving up and apply for a different vehicle with a different dealership. Because the original ordered vehicle is still displaying in my Motability account, what is the procedure to remove the vehicle so that I can re-apply for a different vehicle?
Inform your original dealer you wish to cancel your order. They should then cancel it on their systems. This should then ‘open up’ your ability to re-order a new vehicle from elsewhere.
If your dealer is somewhat tardy in doing so, or there is a problem, contact Motability Operations who can ‘over-ride’ things and cancel the order to allow you to re-order a new vehicle.
