@glos-guy so excited to see your pics on here. We can’t wait to pick ours up!

We have moved from a BMW X1 2.0i which we loved, but have been very pleased with the Tucson. It doesn’t feel like a step down, which we feared it would. I charge it after every use, so always leave home with a full charge. If you can manage the whole round trip in EV mode (35-39 miles although I noticed that dropped to about 26 miles yesterday when it was just 3 degrees) then it’s very cheap to run. On round trips where the EV range makes up around half the round trip, it will still give you good economy (use Automatic drive mode as that’s the most efficient). On longer journeys when the EV range is used up, the car goes into normal hybrid mode. This isn’t terribly fuel efficient as the engine is recharging the battery as well as propelling the car, so longer journeys are at best about the same mpg as our BMW but can actually be worse (our X1 averaged a very respectable 42.2mpg over 3 years but could achieve 50mpg on steady motorway runs). However, not having to stop to charge when on long journeys is a godsend, so you get the benefits of an EV on local journeys without the disadvantages of them on longer journeys.
