There has been a HUGE twist to this saga and it is still ongoing but I will elaborate as much as I can at this point in time

Lets just say Ive discovered by chance just why the cars steering was playing up and all over the place

(  It wasnt the newly fitted mixed brand tyres causing the erratic steering which was the obvious first thought I will explain as I go)

    Rolling back before my discovery

I contacted motorbility and informed them of my concerns

The RAC were called out as suggested by motorbility and also agreed by me to independently assess the cars steering/tyre problem and to submit their report

I discussed a few things/maybes with the RAC it having 20 inch wheels and a quick 12.1 steering ratio which could possibly not help along with the present mixed brand setup

    The conclusion

RAC submitted a report to me and motorbility suggesting the same branded / type  tyre may well be needed on the same axle to resolve the steering issue

I am waiting for motorbility to contact me once they have read the report and see if they will match the tyre brands on the front axle

The twist in the tale is that following the RAC report I took my wife on a short drive to Asda

Whilst sitting in the car awaiting her return I decided to check and update myself on the cars  many configurable settings ( I was bored lol)

A minute later having gone into a couple of the cars sub menues I noticed that someone (kwikfit fitter) had played around with the cars driving style configaration settings and changed the driving dynamics from my comfort set up to one of sport)

(For those with the ETec this is not the normal available standard Perso mode selection but a separate sub menu just for driving dynamic choice) although once set up they do interact

I unticked the selected Sport mode and ticked comfort and it now drives as nice as before

Quite simply because that was how it had been setup for the last 6000 mile until twat twat fitter started playing about with it for no reason

Having discovered this am I now going to moan or complain

No because there would be no gain in doing so

Im going to wait for the phone call from motorbility and have another new same brand/tread depth tyre fitted
What a carry on and no wonder the car was bouncing all over the place
