Not something, I would advise, because their are rules about running cable over communial grounds and if it involves going over a public footpath, you would need permission from your local Highways dept and use a method they approve, to protect tripping hazards, which you would find yourself liable for.
Also the use of a granny charger with an extension lead (if needed), would be something, I would not recommend.
However, if do few miles, it may be feasable to charge at public chargepoints, through the use of a monthly subscription.
