It doesn’t know the difference unfortunately it only gives you police or police hidden, many people put hidden police when it is a speed van, the reason most police use it, when someone puts on the map police reported ahead the police themselves hit not there and take the alert of your screen. Ask her how many times she has done that😂
I appreciate that the Waze system can’t differentiate, my point was that it’s a shame that so many of the general public mistake highways agency vehicles as police cars and mark them as such, causing people to react unnecessarily.
My daughter is a response officer and tells me that they have no time to deal with traffic issues – other than accidents and drink / drug drivers – so I can’t imagine that she has time to mess around with Waze when tearing around on blue lights at high speeds!
