Glos Guy, I’m one of those people who have taken a leap of faith and ordered the E 3008 way before I was able to test drive it. I agree with you in retrospect that it is not the most sensible way to order a car.
I decided that because I’ve been very happy with the 3008 GT premium hybrid that I’ve driven for the past three and a bit years, and I was able to add the necessary options so it would be suitable for me. I’m now more than a bit apprehensive that the numerous issues related by some of our posters may feature in my car when it arrives.
My journeys tend to be mainly local so the ‘software glitches’ although frustrating wont be a deal breaker, if they can be rectified by firmware updates inside a reasonable timescale. However I think that both you and des make important points that the rest of us should think about carefully before making a ‘new vehicle decision’.
