I’ve currently got an ID3 that’s due to go back today after three years, I ordered an ID4 3 months ago and the dealer contacted me yesterday to say it’ll be at the dealers this week and he’s contacted the hand-controls firm to get an installation date from them.
A bigger boot was needed this time so a larger car was required. I looked at the Q4 – very nice but too expensive for me; I thought about the Enyaq – very nice but the dealership is too far away for me; I looked at the Ioniq 5 – a beautiful car but the dealer was a joke and the drive selector location makes hand-control installation a nightmare as far as I could make out. Then the ID4 AP was reduced to £49, after taking off the £750 cashback, my last three cars have all come from this VW dealership and they’ve looked after me superbly, the spec for the Match Pro is more than enough for me so as an overall decision it was easy to make. Yes, there are better cars out there but this works for me and, when all’s said and done, it’s not mine it’s a 3 year lease and having been on Motability since 1993 I know that three years flies by.
